S.O.SYRIA - PROF. DR. IŞIL BERAT BARLAN REFUGEE WOMEN HEALTH LITERACY AND FIRST AID FUNDING PROGRAM
SOSyria Project is designed to ensure that Arabic-speaking refugee women have sufficient knowledge and experience in responding to emergency and first aid needs, particularly children, to prevent accidents, increase sexual and reproductive health literacy, and to provide first aid interventions to children.
Prof. Dr. Işıl Berat Barlan was an internationally renowned Leader in Pediatrics and in Allergy and Clinical immunology who made lasting contributions to the health of children in Turkey and beyond. she was a particularly strong advocate of women’s health and women’s
advancement in science and medicine. To honor her dedication to these causes, the “Prof. Dr. Işıl Berat Barlan Refugee Women Health Literacy and First Aid Funding Program” was created in her name by her colleagues, students and friends in the hope of spreading the light of knowledge and health that she so advocated for. We hope that her never- ending efforts for better health for all humans touch your life too.
